RRA Application Thread

The Rejected Realms Army is a defender force made up of nations from The Rejected Realms.
What is the relation between the RR government and the RRA?
Although it operates independently from (in other words, it is not subservient to, or under the direct control of) the Rejected Realms government, there is not a strict separation between the two.
Both are hosted on the same forums and operate out of the same region, of course. In addition, there is a long-standing connection, and the RRA is fully committed to uphold the legitimacy of the Rejected Realms government and of its elected Delegate.
Other armies follow this model, most notably TITO (the military of 10000 Islands).
What is our mission?
Our primary mission is the defence of the Rejected Realms.
To this end, we monitor security threats to the Delegacy and the government, and intervene to stop them and ensure that the legitimately-elected Delegate stays in power.
We also act as a defence and liberation force to assist the inhabitants of regions that have been invaded or under threat of invasion. We support the right of nations to control their home regions and be safe from forcible displacement.
How do I join?
Fill out the application form below and post it in this topic.
RRA officers will review your application and get back to you as soon as possible (normally within forty-eight hours).
Being a registered citizen is not strictly required (although recommended), but you must be a resident of the region.
However, it should be clear that the possibility that someone who has had their citizenship denied or revoked for security reasons could join the RRA is virtually non-existent.
Do I need to have a nation in the World Assembly?
Yes. This may be different from your 'main' nation, but the use of a WA nation is essential for our activities.
Is dual membership with other gameplay organisations allowed?
If you are a member of another group, or plan on joining one, you should notify an RRA Officer to ensure there is no conflict of interest.
Undeclared membership in enemy organisations, in particular, is grounds for immediate expulsion.
How do we work?
When our assistance is required in other regions, we move our WA nations and endorse the native Delegate (or, in their absence, another native WA) to prevent the region from falling into invader hands. If there is no suitably active native to respond to the invasion, we may endorse an interim defender Delegate to remove the invader threat before handing over the region back to the natives.
Should invaders succeed in capturing the delegacy of a founderless region, we will work to liberate it.
Liberations are not so different from defences on principle, but as the invaders hold regional controls they require particular timing, coordination and skill.
We do not interfere with the internal affairs of other regions: our intervention is always limited to the minimum extent necessary to ensure that the region remains under native governance.
Important note: this is not role-playing. No planes, carriers and nukes here: we use only nations, endorsements and movements between regions.
How often are we active? How active do I need to be?
We are active whenever necessary. This can vary depending on the circumstances (mainly invader activity), but we do try to never let too much time pass between a mission and the following one.
Taking part in a few updates each week - or be available at update with previous notice - is a very good activity level, but we will make sure to have missions suited for everyone, so, as long you can regularly check these forums, do not worry if you cannot be too active because of your timezone or other constraints.
Do we work with other regions or groups?
We cooperate with various defender organisations, as well as armies from other game-created regions.
Is there a ranking system?
There are Officers who are tasked with processing applications, planning operations, issuing orders and generally overseeing the functioning of the Army.
When necessary, soldiers may be promoted to Officer roles on the basis of merit.
If you have further questions, PM one of the RRA Officers.
