Welp, I thought I'd bring up a new project I've thought of. We could compare Delegate endorsements over the years and see which Delegate had the most endorsements and how we can improve upon our current number.

I also thought it would be interesting to record our highest and lowest regional populations.


July 14th, 2009 - 546 nations (Kandarin was Delegate)

April 2nd, 2016 - 6,459 nations (Libetarian Republics was Delegate)

Whatever LR was doing, we need to do it! I haven't calculated an average population yet but I guess that it's around 3,000.

I'm not sure if LR was "doing" something, not like we recruited back then or anything. Might have been due to the Lazarus purges or to a surge in NS population overall during 2016, which affects TRR too just as it does to all the other sinkers and feeders.

Have regional officers in big regions eject people right on April fools day during a crazy presidential election? Because that date seems to coincide with trump election so ppl will go out. You can retain ppl in trr but they will stay if they don't have other regions to go or r oblivious

I think LR was delegate during the reddit surge which would explain the high regional population.

Additionally, DEN was deleted (and they were a large region at the time).

Recruitment from feeders didn't occur until after my term as delegate.

Our population is largely based on trends (global population on NS) and events (coups, ejections, etc.). I would be curious if there has been any effects from recruitment.

Is there active recruitment for TRR? Like, telegram campaigns and so forth? Maybe I just missed it.

Despite the strange setup of this region, I don't see why we shouldn't.

We recruit from the feeders (at least the North Pacific?), yes.

This is a recent development because for a while (since NS creation until this past year), there was a "gentlemen's agreement" regarding GCRs recruiting from GCRs. It was largely frowned upon.

There were attempts in the past to change this, but it "normalizes" when The North Pacific announced that they will allow Sinkers to recruit from them.

Whether it's the case that we do recruit from all feeders, I'm not familiar on that end.

But yeah, it seems like a good idea to me to actively recruit unless we're making annoying social faux pas.

* Media - The Rejected Times is one of the most reputable and iconic news sources on NationStates. Whether it's an article about political intrigue or about some interregional event, or maybe just an opinion piece or satire, being in The Rejected Times means you're being heard. So, if you like writing, politics and shaping the opinion of the wider NationStates community, this is for you!

* Roleplay - If regional politics isn't up your alley and you'd rather be negotiating economic treaties or invading other countries, or perhaps be traversing the stars on your spaceship, roleplay is for you. The Rejected Realms has a small but dedicated group of roleplayers that are more than willing to welcome you into the fray!

* Military - The Rejected Realms is home to one of the oldest and most famous defender armies in NationStates, The Rejected Realms Army (RRA). Being a member of the RRA means you get to defend other regions from invaders trying to occupy the region and banning the nations that reside there, all while getting to know a lot of great and fun people in other NS armies! There's a lot to be said about war in NationStates and this telegram hardly covers it.

* Engagement - There's always something going on in the RMB, conversation to be had and polls to be answered. Not being active on the forums doesn't mean you're less important than anyone else and your concerns about the region will be heard regardless. Talk, make friends with the other nations and just have fun, that's what we're all here for.

* More - There's always more to do, whether it be writing NationStates issues or debating World Assembly matters, or maybe just getting to know us all on discord would be something more up your alley. And who knows, maybe in time something you do might make it on this list? You just have to try it!
