Flag History Project - please collate information here!

Brought to us upon request from Delegate-Elect Jack: "Flag History Project – all the different flags we’ve flown, when they were flown, who they were made by, any other relevant info about why that particular one exists"

And that's why I come here before you today!

Here's a decent outline for us to start with if you have any to contribute - feel more than welcome to leave any section blank if unsure and we can follow up:

Ignoring occupations, I think TRR has had two flags for most of its history. The current one is a modification of this flag made by Milograd. Taijitu's flag archives shows brief flag switches inspired by RL causes, events like Z-Day, and the delegate whims.

For everything else, we're gonna have to go through all the wayback machine captures we can. It's also possible to get more exact dates on things by going to the exact day's dump I think although I'm not sure how that's done exactly.

Various ones I have:







I think the above three are RRA flags from 2003-4ish. The bottom one is Beta Squadron of the RRA. I assume that the top two are officer flags for Alpha and Beta squadrons.



This was the original flag, before someone redid it. It was flown from the time regional flags were introduced until it was redone... can't remember exactly when that was, but it was certainly after Kandarin handed his nation over to Nai. There should be a thread on that somewhere on this forum.



TRR pegasus version flag. I might have made this? Possibly for CG. The file is from 2011, which suggests so.



This was Siggi's forum avatar. I think it was also his RRA flag, as RRA High Commander (?)

The pegasus flag you made for me, the flag with 3 stars was the old high commander flag. And yes, the red and green flags (and potentially a third colour) were for the different platoons.

And apologies for the radio silence over Rejectmas- will be returning to this project now-ish.

It'll probably be more reasonable for me to start putting together a rough thread for all the flags we have so far (recording dates found from the threads linked here as well as descriptions of flags that we do not currently have images for) and then filling in the holes as we go, seeing how rich our flag history really is!

RRA flags also make for great additions to this project- I'll fit them into the same thread for our library.

One more fun link brought to my attention over discord, further complicating the task! RRA platoons??? sure.

CG isn't sure there was ever a Gamma platoon - the flag existed, but the platoon was never active so the flag might not have been used.

She also thinks Greymarshes made the platoon flags, and Blackdreams made the original RRA flag plus the RRA Commander flag.

Currently, I'm aiming for images of the flags, descriptions (and who made them) or both - so that's all helpful info.
