3rd Annual Rejectmas Chess Tournament

Post by Nequedum »

Back by decreasingly-popular demand, it’s the 3rd Annual Rejectmas Chess Tournament! Okay, so, again, it’s not really a tournament. You just play as many games as you want against as many Rejects as you want and we will record the results. The person with the most points will then be declared our annual Rejectmas Chess Champion and will have the pleasure of bragging about this very prestigious title to all of their friends in perpetuity while playing Werewolf over on our discord. Don’t worry if you're not an expert, none of us are, except Jack who won last year.

All games will be played with the use of this handy chess website.

Rules:
  • Find any person to play against
  • Go to the site https://lichess.org/
  • Click "Play with a Friend", and share the link with said person (if you share it within a group of people, then the first person to click the link will be your competitor)
  • Either player should screenshot the results and share them below so that a final score can be tallied
(counting legitimate wins as determined by your Dramoonist Lord, Nequedum - please provide comprehensive reasoning for it to be counted as legitimate if the other person resigns)
Please remember to post screenshots of your wins/losses down below, as well as the preferred username of your competitor if known, to determine the legitimacy of your matches!

Bonus Points (to be determined by me)
  • 1 point if you advocate for greater dog rights
  • 2 points if you recite The Rejectmas Manual backwards to me from memory
  • 3 points if you accurately keep tally of the overall score on every one of your replies (if you never type a reply, then, as long as all your competitors do so, you will also be benevolently granted these 3 points)
    e.g.
    Deadeye Jack - 1,000,002
    CrazyGirl - 105,003
    PowerPAOK - 80,000
    CoS - 666
    Guy - 2.2
    Frattastan - 0
May your games be very smooth.

I messed up in the end so it ended up in a stalemate instead of my rightful victory. :P
Don't know if you're counting those too but I'll post it anyway and leave the decision up to Neq.

I'll count it Fratt, assuming you were black in that?

Game wins:

Outboundstagnate: 2
Chingis: 1
Catalyse: 1
Frattastan: 1
PowerPAOK: 0
Aandruzognivia: 0

Points:

Outboundstagnate: 6
Chingis: 4
Catalyse: 4
Frattastan: 4
PowerPAOK: 4
Aandruzognivia: 4

If everyone could start keeping an accurate count on both game wins and points for all future posts, that'd be much appreciated!

Would hate to start having to remove those +3 points for keeping an accurate tally of the overall score ;)

I was black, yes. It should either count as half a point or not at all, however. Wouldn't go as far as calling it a 'game win' for myself (there was no checkmate or resignation).

The game stops you from sacrificing your King so the only resolution would have been a win with the rook.

"+5 points for not wanting more points!"

Am I supposed to add 5 points?

Does posting the scores also require adding 3 points?

Does advocacy of greater dogs rights require the addition of 1 point?

If yes to all then I want to not get 5 points for not wanting to get 5 points and dogs need to be allowed greater freedom.

Game wins:

Outboundstagnate: 2
Chingis: 1
Catalyse: 1
Frattastan: 1
PowerPAOK: 0
Aandruzognivia: 0

Points:

Outboundstagnate: 15
Chingis: 7
Catalyse: 7
Frattastan: 12
PowerPAOK: 7
Aandruzognivia: 7

Are these scores accurate?

Do I need to subtract 5 from both me and Frat?

Does 3 points need to be subtracted here?

Does the dog rights point need to be removed?

Details, I need details.

The bonus points are only one-time add-ons.

So we're still at the following:

Game wins:

Outboundstagnate: 2
Chingis: 1
Catalyse: 1
Frattastan: 1
PowerPAOK: 0
Aandruzognivia: 0

Points:

Outboundstagnate: 6
Chingis: 4
Catalyse: 4
Frattastan: 4
PowerPAOK: 4
Aandruzognivia: 4

Chingis, Catalyse and Frattastan all still have the optional to advocate for greater dog rights to gain an additional point.

Guy is technically on four bc you posted the game wins and points correctly until you didn't by not accounting for this wackiness, Fratt ;)

He also has an opportunity to voice his opinion on ruffrage.

I'm the black pieces. Fratt is whites. One victory. Not sure how many points I should get now, but since I got 4 points for a victory I gave myself another 8. No idea if that's correct.

Game wins:

Outboundstagnate: 2
Catalyse: 2
Guy: 1
Chingis: 1
Frattastan: 1
PowerPAOK: 0
Aandruzognivia: 0

Wouldn't the current standing be:

Game wins:

Outboundstagnate: 2
Catalyse: 2
Guy: 1
Chingis: 1
Frattastan: 1
PowerPAOK: 0
Aandruzognivia: 0

Points:

Catalyse: 5
Outboundstagnate: 6
Chingis: 4
Frattastan: 4
PowerPAOK: 4
Aandruzognivia: 4
Guy: 4

Frat hasn't advocated for more good boy rights so he would be on 5 points.

Please keep accurate scores after every win Mr. Mod. It saves me from using guess work.

Really, the chaos adds to the tournament spirit.

outboundstagnate's game wins and points are accurate, however. Assuming that Aandruzognivia values dogs as the rightful citizens that they are with the same political rights as any other citizen once they reach voting age (if ever).

I will be declaring Rejectmas Chess Champion 2019-2020 alongside the winning sponsor of the Unicorn Jousting tournament. You have until the Final play-off poll closes to win more games of chess and update your scores.
