Recap:
Read about Match 1
here!
I'll be hosting some Classic and TRR(-themed) Expansion games of Escadian Battleship over Rejectmas!
These matches will be facilitated through discord and our #events channel in The Rejected Realms discord server.
I am also launching the new Expansion for the game over this smooth and hairy season, with the first-ever matches to occur during this festival!
Teams are encouraged to create fleet names and a thematic roleplay in Classic.
Rules:

The original gamemode involves "two teams competing with 4 to 8 total players". Each team must have an even number of players. The game is broken up into three phases: an assignment phase, where ships are numbered from 1 to a maximum of 4 on each side in order; a fog of war operational phase, where ships can move one space each turn -- vertically, horizontally or diagonally -- and destroy one another upon collision without knowing where the enemy ships are; and, finally, a radar operational phase, which activates three turns following no combat after the first engagement - showing the positions of enemy ships at the start of each round.
Upon collision, higher number ships destroy lower number ships. If the ships have the same classification number, a draw and bounce is declared instead, and their moves are reverted. The only exception is that the lowest number ship destroys the highest number ship i.e. 1 destroys 4 upon collision. A 6x4 grid is used for the gameboard, with each player nominating where they would like to move every turn in coordination with the rest of their team through a nominated team leader. Please familiarise yourself with this recommended gameboard:

Building upon the rules of Classic, the TRR Expansion acts as a 'roleplay oneshot' modelled after the Werewolf 'Foo' (foolish) gamemode, with predetermined ship placements and limited flexibility on fleet sizes. The grid is also expanded, yet not as large as Advanced; a minimum 7x5 grid is recommended for the gameboard.
Higher numbers still destroy lower numbers and 1 still destroys 4, however, there are two teams and one solo ship in the TRR Expansion.
The red WW (werewolf) team wins by defeating or routing all enemy vessels. The green V2 (villager) and blue D4 (detective) ships work together to defeat all WW3 ships or avoid a naval engagement for up to 5 turns to win, protecting D4 from the WW1 and Foo1 ships that can defeat it. The pink Foo1 (fool) wins by destroying D4 first, causing both teams to lose; therefore, it is in WW teams interest to destroy Foo1 as well.
It is acceptable to refer to D4 as 'Guy'. Further, D4 will passively detect all ships, including those belonging to other teams, in all grid squares around it including diagonally, however, Foo1 will appear as another WW3.
