Challenge for Editor in Chief

Post by John Laurens »

Considering no one else has stepped up/in, I am hereby challenging for the role Editor in Chief.

I will have a platform out tomorrow. What I will say now is that my campaign will be one of a transitional EiC who will look to build institutions that can be relied on in the future.

The average life expectancy of a Manson deputy after their appointment is four days. Good luck.

I believe moving to a single article format over an issue based system really helped encourage people to write at anytime rather than writing to a deadline.

I also believe the new rank system, if used, encourages people to advance within TRT.

Will you sign a binding agreement, with appropriate punishments if not fulfilled, to punish a TRT issue before the end of the year?

My main issue is that there is no TRT issue/interview to celebrate my decade of TRR re education camps. I need guarantees that it would be done.

Because I will be moving away from the issue based system, I can promise you an issue’s worth of articles in the next month. How does that sound?

I’m deciding to keep this extremely brief. Interest is low in the TRRMC as a whole, we need to produce to fix that.

We need to keep putting out articles. As Editor in Chief I will have TRT staff focus on historical articles too, to supplement slower news cycles.

I will encourage TRT staff to get more involved by reporting on news happening in other regions for TRT to publish.

TRT staff will also begin accepting articles from resident nations again, and encourage nations to write about their own RP, and these will be published as a traditional news paper issue.

As Editor in Chief, to avoid the mistakes of my last term as EiC, I will take over primary writing duties, and will produce 4 articles within the first month of being Editor in Chief, or I will resign the Office.
