Alderperson? Assessor?

There would be multiple ones (2-3 per Cat's proposal) and it's possible that none of them would be men >:(Manson wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 17:53I like Alderman of Malev.frattastan wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 11:04Alderperson? Assessor?

I think it’d be cute to have each Alderperson have a “district”. Malev is kinda what we’ve roleplayed as our capital at times. It’d be cool to split TRR up into districts, I think that could definitely be fun.frattastan wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 17:58There would be multiple ones (2-3 per Cat's proposal) and it's possible that none of them would be men >:(Manson wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 17:53I like Alderman of Malev.frattastan wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 11:04Alderperson? What would be the practical implications of districts?Manson wrote: ↑21 Jun 2023, 18:00I think it’d be cute to have each Alderperson have a “district”. It usually has leftist associations ( syndicalism ) but it's rooted in medieval municipal offices.

Let's stick to the prison camp theme please.
Edit: "Collaborator"? Since TRR is a re-education camp with the delegate being the "Prison Warden" and the Officers properly called "Correctional Officers"

I don't think it's widely used in the english speaking world, probably because english uses "union" rather than "sindicate". I think it's a cool and kinda archaic sounding name though.Spartan Termopylae wrote: ↑22 Jun 2023, 06:20This is the only time I've come across it in the real world

I have no reasonable sounding recommendations for the position's name, unfortunately. Something generic like "Councillor" or "Advocate" might work but I'm also aware that those are already used in TSP and TNP respectively, and we probably want something unique.
While I see what Manson is going for with "districts", I can't say I'm a fan (unique names implies different jobs or specific areas of exclusivity that don't exist and could cause a bit of confusion).

Re: Gameside Affairs
I'll start implementing this over the weekend, with opening nominations gameside. We'll go with syndic, but we can ask what the nominees/candidates think of the name, or if they have any other suggestions.
