Voting on the Amendment to the Speaker and Procedures of the Assembly Act
Goobergunchia has introduced the Amendment to the Speaker and Procedures of the Assembly Act.
Because the proposal has been thoroughly discussed and reached the appropriate number of seconds it is up for vote.
Citizens may vote in one of the three ways, either saying 'For' or 'Aye', 'Against' or 'Nay, or 'Abstain' or 'Present'.
This vote will end on May 4th, 2021, at 10:00 PM, EDT.
6. The Speaker may appoint a citizen as Deputy Speaker to fulfill the tasks of the Speaker in case the Speaker is absent and unable to fulfill their duties, including when the Speaker is absent with prior notification. If the Speaker has not logged on to the forums for longer than three days without prior notification then the Deputy Speaker shall become acting Speaker, assuming the duties of the Speaker in full, until a new Speaker is elected or the Speaker returns.
7. The Assembly may, by a simple majority vote, remove the Deputy Speaker.
8. Should either the Speaker or Deputy Speaker cease to be citizens, their office shall become vacant.
8.9. The Speaker is responsible for appointing the Assembly-selected Councillor of the Citizenship Council.
