What is the Cyrannus Star System?
The Cyrannus Star System is a primarily community focused region with a regional government and customized roleplay world. The region was founded thematically around the world of the 2004 television show Battlestar Galactica. While the roleplay world has split from that theme to be more accommodating to those members of the region who have no knowledge of the show, the foundations still rely on the theme. The name of Cyrannus is derived from the home galaxies of the BSG universe, with the characters in the show being from the four stars of the Cyrannus Star System.
The regional government is divided between the legislature and the executive. The legislature, The People's Council of Cyrannus (the name derived from the lower house of the legislature in BSG), is an open legislature to all citizens of the region. All citizens have the right to propose, debate, and vote on legislation that comes into The People's Council. The People's Council is headed by the Council Speaker who is elected by the citizenry of the region every three months. The executive government is headed by the Founder of the region, also known as the Director of Operations. Also in the executive government are the offices of Steward of Internal Affairs (intraregional activity), Steward of Culture (roleplay moderation), and Steward of World Assembly Affairs (in-game World Assembly delegacy). The Stewards work with the Director to keep the region active as a community and maintain activities in their respective departments. Stewards are elected on the same three month basis that the Council Speaker is elected on.

I'll be honest, I've not been great at setting up a thread like this, so this has been a learning experience. We in Cyrannus are looking forward to getting to know TRR better through this Consulate and are thankful for the opportunity.
