What actually happened in TP to prompt defenders to move in?
False intelligence was fed to the defenders that the Pacific was going to be raided or couped by a high-ranking region member, and the defenders took the bait. This allowed the invaders to take over South Pacific without much trouble. My source will remain anonymous.
Haha guess the UDLers want to redeem themselves after Osiris  I mean yeah the Pacific...but Krull has held it for like over 3 years..
Not only did the UDL fall for it but also the North Pacific, the South Pacific, 10000 Islands, and Europeia, an ally of the Pacific. :P

It would be difficult to take over the Pacific. I guess this is how a coup could have happened.

Krulltopia: about 190 endorsements

Rothinzil: about 145 endorsements

For weeks, about 25 invaders have been sitting in the Pacific. All of them are endorsing Krulltopia.

Right before the update, all 25 of them unendorse Krulltopia and endorse Rothinzil instead.

Krulltopia: 190 - 25 = 165 endorsements

Rothinzil: 145 + 25 = 170 endorsements

Rothinzil sets up a new regional government to replace the NPO, thereby completing the coup.

It certainly would have been possible if Rothinzil wanted to overthrow Krulltopia and coordinated a coup with the invader community.

I have seen the raiders get about 20 updaters before, so why could they not get 25 people to be online at the same time?

So, Sedge, did defenders just get really stupid, or has it only become apparent now?
Enjoy. This is the wisdom of the last sane man on Earth...gone mad.

Everyone was sleeping (woo geographically-imbalanced membership!), plus all those terrible restrictions on feeder intervention.
Now ignore the fact the we missed SP too. :P

As a note, TP had -asked- for the defenders to move in, as far as I am aware. *shrugs*

And when defenders can get 22 passable-as-competent people around to liberation the region I would assume that they will.

Defender victory in SPACE!
A fleet of military-grade choppers will fly in and physically transport [nation] to a better location.
Helicopters? In space? Oh, more defender cheating! Clearly. :P

Disoccupation. So, plan on taking it again even with Wop being an annoyance as usual? :P

The Black Riders are occupying Yorkshire.

The Pacific attacked a few regions in the last two night, succeeding three times, including with The Grenvali United, but failed to capture any target with a delegate (Discordia and North Carolina) because of defender intervention.

I have it on good authority that Gatesville is at DEFCON 3, yet almost none of them know why.

There was a decent attempt to invade Nazi Europe (in, presumably, the last update before the Liberation is repealed). Don't know what went wrong, but NE seems to have been lucky once again.

If no one is updating this thread, I'll post occasional stories of ejectees who come on our shores

"Lesser Africa" was ejected from "United Left Front". The nation had previously been made delegate after tying in endos with the founder, and then nation removing his own endorsement from the founder. The founder woke up, panicked and ejected him, fearing a coup. Other nations pleaded with the founder and it was a all a misunderstanding, so he was allowed to return and made delegate again.

They use far too many words though: http://www.nationstates.net/region=united_left_front

Jeffersonborg (Codger) comments: "See! He was accepted back in his region. Other rejectees, you could do it too! Don't be so stubborn and overcome your differences with your ejectors so you could learn to love eachother!"
