I got to see the Flaming Lips live last week - they played just before Soundgarden so were kind of underdogged, but I thought they did a pretty epic show.

Currently trying to drown out a horrific karaoke game show with Beirut.

Boyfriend yelling at people on the internet in Russian. There's no music that can drown that out or compliment it, so I give in.

Oh, God, Tiptoe through the Tulips is scary. How can he sing so high? No wonder he died on stage.

The album "Wonderful" by Madness.

...and I just saw the references up there to Tiny Tim. I've seldom met anybody else who even admits to knowing who he was. So, anybody here willing to admit that you also remember Monti Rock the Third?

Appreciated hearing Love Train, to interrupt news of the verdicts in the Danziger Bridge trial, which came down in my hometown a few hours ago.

"Love Train"? I haven't even thought of that song in years. Ollie, I only know of one way to kill a dud song when it gets stuck: play something else you really like several times over, so it gets stuck there instead. I find headphones the best way to do it --- more intense that way.

Right now, I'm doing my annual August run-up to my Woodstock anniversary celebrations: I just started with Richie Havens and I'm in the middle of "High flying bird". It's a song I'll probably play about a dozen times in a row just because I like it so much.
Peace,
TT
