WA Communal Project
The Rejected Realms World Assembly Office
We're introducing a fun new event to learn more about the General Assembly! We have lots of talented authors and legislators, so we believe we can help each other to hone our skills.
With that in mind, we're introducing an event for the Rejected Realms to write its own General Assembly resolution! Anyone can participate, provided they're respectful.
First, we will vote on choosing what to write about. Then we will draft together based off which topic wins. Then we will edit and submit through a nation "TRR WA community" or something to that effect.
Awards and Stuff!

I had an idea about regulating self-driving vehicles' programmed responses to inevitable collisions.

This is such an interesting concept.
Educational categories are amazing, however, Global Disarmament (repealing GA#10) is also appealing.

Re: WA Communal Project
So this whole Pollution and Hazardous Waste control has me thinking. What if we make one close to the current proposal but to reduce general waste and pollution in rivers and estuaries? Maybe put restrictions on dumping trash and sewage release.

The Rejected Realms World Assembly Office
Alright so it looks like Environmental category won the vote. Now it’s time for us to think up a few different general ideas/topics under the environment we can legislate for and then we’ll see which one we like best to move forward on.
Here is a list of past environmental legislation taken from this General Assembly thread.
GA 376 'Pesticide Regulations'
GA 432 'Preventing Desertification'
GA 435 'Asbestos Consumption, Disposal And Worker Protection'
GA 441 'Convention On Freshwater Shortages'
GA 453 'Preventing Groundwater Contamination'
GA 95 'Responsible Offshore Drilling'
GA 199 'Sustainable Fishing Act'
GA 223 'Transboundary Water Use Act'
GA 290 'Protecting Migratory Animals'
GA 298 'Reducing Spills and Leaks'
GA 357 'Promotion of Clean Energy'
GA 371 'Toxic Heavy Metals Act'
GA 403 'Trade Of Endangered Organisms'
GA 409 'Ocean Noise Reduction'
GA 413 'Wetland Protection Protocol'
GA 417 'Restrictions On Hydraulic Fracturing'
GA 445 'Greenhouse Cap and Trade Program'
GA 465 'Preventing Species Extinction'
GA 291 'Sustainable Forest Management'
GA 349 'To Prevent Dangerous Debris'
GA 421 'Ozone Layer Protection'
GA 263 'Uranium Mining Standards Act'
GA 301 'Ban on Leaded Fuel'
This list should give you an idea of what hasn’t been covered yet and how these proposals are generally written and formatted. Let’s get to work!

Re: WA Communal Project
I might think of other ideas, but CWA gave me the idea for a ballast water draft in response to my attempt on an issue for it. I think it's a great GA idea.

Re: WA Communal Project
Can you explain this more. Like a basic why this is an issue and what happens if you don't address it not in issue form. And how do people address this in the real world?Bormiar wrote: ↑06 Mar 2020, 18:42I might think of other ideas, but CWA gave me the idea for a ballast water draft in response to my attempt on an issue for it. What were some of the reasons the previous proposal failed again?ColdSteel21 wrote: ↑04 Mar 2020, 13:45So this whole Pollution and Hazardous Waste control has me thinking. Re: WA Communal Project
In the real world, there is an international treaty called the Ballast Water Management Convention . It requires signatory flag states to ensure that ships flagged by them comply with standards and procedures for the management and control of ships' ballast water.Deadeye Jack wrote: ↑13 Mar 2020, 01:03Can you explain this more.
