Roles
Nazgul
2 Nazgul. Their role is to avoid being lynched, if either of the wolves is lynched the Nazgul lose the game. The Nazgul know who each other are. No special night role. Mordor team
The Mouth of Sauron
The Minion is aligned with the Nazgul. The Mouth of Sauron knows who the Nazgul are and are prepared to die for them. Mouth of Sauron wins if they are lynched, or if the Nazgul avoid being lynched. No special night role, Mordor team.
Saruman
Saruman picks another players role and becomes that role. If Saruman becomes Gollum, Gandalf, Frodo or Gimli, they will perform their action first. If they become a Nazgul, Mouth of Sauron or Merry or Pippin they will discover the roles of their fellow team members.
Picks a player, and becomes that players role, taking on any of that roles win conditions
Gandalf
Gandalf can choose to see two of the non-player controlled roles, or one fellow players role. Wins with the Fellowship if they lynch a Nazgul.
Merry and Pippin
Merry and Pippin are always together, they know each other. They are on the side of the fellowship. They win by successfully lynching a Nazgul
Frodo
Frodo is a thief and a robber stealing the Ring from Bilbo and Gollum. Frodo can swap their role with a fellow players role. They will then become that role and take on any win conditions that role has. The player who has had their role stolen will become Frodo and win or lose with the Fellowship (however that player may not know they are Frodo).
Frodo swaps role with another player and becomes that new role, but cannot perform any of the night actions of the new role.
Gollum
The Gollum switches around 2 players roles. Gollum does not know what roles they are switching, but picks two players at random and each of those players will become that new role, unknown to those players. Gollum cannot switch their own role with another players.
Gollum wins with the Fellowship, begrudgingly since all he wants is the Ring.
Gimli
Gimli has no idea what they are doing. Stumbling around all night following Aragon and Legolas chasing orcs. Gimli switches their role with one of the 3 non-player controlled roles, but has no recollection who or what role they have woken up to purely from exhaustion from keeping up with the other two. Win condition is determined by whatever role they have taken.
Aragon
Aragon is incorruptible. They can check to see what their role is when the day phase begins. Wins with the Fellowship.
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky have no special abilities, but might not remain an Elven King for long with all this role switching. Their job is to help lynch a Nazgul.

Boromir/Sean Bean can only take on acting roles that result in him dying, preferably early on in the proceedings. Only wins if they are killed, if not they become Richard Sharpe and change franchises.
Legolas
Legolas works with the Fellowship to find the Nazgul. If Legolas is taken to the gallows to be lynched, the player they are currently voting for will also die. If they shoot a Nazgul with their last arrow, the Fellowship wins. Wins with the Fellowship

Once night phase is over, the Fellowship will awake and must attempt to lynch a Nazgul (or avoid being lynched). The night phase will last as long as I am waiting for orders, however if a player is not responding to requests to put in their actions their action will be randomly assigned and or a player may be moved to Non-player controlled status. Players must work out what role they are once they wake up. A Nazgul might start as a Nazgul, but due to other players actions might become something else (and vice versa).
Please try to send your night actions back quickly but you need not worry about doing it in order. I will sort that out once all the actions have taken place.
There are no deaths in this version, all players who have signed up will be in play until the end of day phase, which will be the end of the game.
