The Rejected Realms’ Historical Society, or TRRHS, is one of the longest continuous non-government institutions within The Rejected Realms.

TRRHS was established December 15, 2017 by then-Culture Officer Manson with the goal of compiling and preserving information associated with the RR and its history but almost immediately it began to branch out — assuming the mantle of a club dedicated to the development of international historical efforts alongside discussion and education.

Upon its founding, TRRHS was structured informally with no one formally at the helm (Manson being de facto in charge) and open membership (which is still the case). As of October of 2023, TRRHS has expanded to include a governing panel (comprised of three historians) and a Curator to ensure TRRHS is meeting the agenda set for it.

The Curator seat is, unless left vacant due to a resignation, always filled. Curators are chosen from TRRHS’ governing panel. Our current Curator is Giangsang and TRRHS’ current governing panel consists of historians PowerPAOK (Glacikaldr), -Vacant-, and Bowshot118.

If the role of Curator is made vacant upon a Curator’s resignation or removal, the longest-standing member of the panel is to automatically assume the role. If longevity cannot be discerned or two or all three panel members have held the role for the same amount of time, panel members must unanimously choose one of themselves to fill the role of Curator. The empty panel seat may be awarded to any contributing member of TRRHS by the two remaining members of the panel. If the seat cannot be filled, it may temporarily remain vacant.

The Curator and their panel are responsible for setting the society’s ever-expanding agenda. Community outreach, event planning, library maintenance, academic drafting, and the ongoing development of the society and its interests encompass the duties of the role.

TRRHS remains an open organization, free for anyone to contribute to in good faith. However, out of necessity it has grown to desperately need direction. TRRHS members are free to contribute as much or as little as they see fit, however they see fit, but membership is arguably much more guided than it was in the society’s early days.

Feel free to reach out to the Curator or any of their panel members if you have any questions.

The average life expectancy of a Manson deputy after their appointment is four days. Good luck.
