How good a Canadian are you??

Would you be able to pass the Canadian citizenship test?

Granted, it is Buzzfeed, so I can't account for its accuracy. Nor am I myself Canadian -- but I could probably pass for one abroad, so if I ever needed to be sneaked out of a hostile country on the lookout for escaped American embassy employees, I should be thankful for that. Er...

I got 12 out of 16, mostly by guessing. Post your results!

I'm honestly embarrassed I got so many. I'm going to go eat steak I'm grilling out of a sputnik my grandfather shot down.
Enjoy. This is the wisdom of the last sane man on Earth...gone mad.

Ugh, 9/16. I missed:

- Last province to join Canada.
- First Nations.
- Rights of citizenship. Really, Canada? Here, schooling is the right of every resident.
- Number of electoral districts.
- Year of Confederation.
- National animal.
- Origin of the word "Canada."

I knew that John Macdonald was the first prime minister though. 8)

The Greenland and Right to Vote questions are very sketchy. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms (Article 3) grants citizens the right to enfranchisement. Not entirely sure what this 'four rights' crap is all about. The Vikings also had settled in Newfoundland by like 1001.

I scored 13\16
Yeah, the rights stuff looked a bit funny. I mean, over Americans' protestations I'm sure, what is a right (or isn't) is not a black/white situation.

I googled "four rights of canadian citizens" and found a practice test that prompted "List four rights Canadian citizens enjoy," with the same responses. I bet you the writer who compiled this quiz saw that and took it to mean there were only four rights.

I missed: last province to join Canada, the four rights, the Queen's representatives in the Territories (whatever those are), and the origin of the name "Canada." Beaver I got right, mostly because when we learned about it in high school, my friends would not stop giggling -- because on one of Adam Sandler's CDs he used "beaver" to describe a woman's...

12/16 here. Phew. It would have been bad for a Canadian ambassador to fail that. (RL Scotsman, btw)

I agree that some of the answers were dodgy, particularly the "first settlers" question.

Just barely failed, 11/16. I’m Murican though.

Missed:
Prime Minister- because I don’t care about Canadian history. Take that, Unibot!
Last Province to join, because see above.
First Nations- I said 35%, but 65% was my second guess, and I nearly took it.
8. And what are her representatives called in the Territories? That one. Who cares about territories anyway though?
Three levels of government- who even cares about local Canada though?

Also, isn’t the O Canada thing not right anymore :P?
