Statement on the New Pacific Order

Post by frattastan »

Statement on the New Pacific Order

In its fifteen years of existence the New Pacific Order has been the recurrent sponsor of invasions, coups d'état, infiltrations against its fellow game-created regions, executed for self-serving and imperialistic reasons that stand contrary to every ideal of feeder emancipation they claim to serve. A mere three years ago they lost once more the faith of the international community, when they took the bold move of openly annexing Lazarus as a colony. Repairing relations was a lengthy endeavour, but recent events show that the apologies and punishments issued at the time were meaningless.

In the past week it has come to light that Feux, A mean old man, and Stujenske led an extensive effort to infiltrate the higher ranks of a number of game-created regions, particularly Lazarus and Osiris, and used their position to destabilise their communities and poison their relations with other regions. While the Pacifican leadership claims that Aleisyr only came to know this seven months ago, that's no excuse to us: far from condemning these actions, the NPO tried to keep them secret, and subsequently reinstated Feux to a Senate position and allowed AMOM to collaborate on government projects.
Regardless of the specific direction of any operations, this subgroup was made up of senior members of the NPO, committed Francoists with no other loyalties, who were working for the sole benefit of The Pacific. As everyone who recalls the Gaspo incident and the events of the New Lazarene Order knows, it's a recurrent theme of the NPO's modus operandi to seemingly allow its individual, high-ranking members to pursue grand projects of destabilisation, and to quietly endorse them so long as plausible deniability is maintained.

We found out that the Pacific played a major role in causing strife and prompting civil war in Lazarus, in the hope that this would turn the political landscape of the region in their favour. This effort only served to further destabilise a politically divided region that had already been victim of NPO aggression.

We found out that the Pacifican leadership chose not to report the alternate identities of individuals who are considered interregional pariahs to the wider world, and to use them for their own purposes.

These events show a degree of manipulation and ill will towards others on part of the NPO that is rarely seen, and doesn't merit them the trust of any region that supports native self-governance.
All diplomatic and other relations between the Pacific and The Rejected Realms are therefore suspended.

I somehow missed this post. It didn't register for some reason. Regardless, this is an excellent decision and I commend the Delegate for making a decision for the betterment of the Rejected Realms.
