The following are the official policies of The Rejected Times to be followed by all TRT Staff Members. These policies should be believed to be in place at all times unless otherwise stated by the current Media Officer of TRR.
1. Authors may not submit articles to be published in TRT that amount to libel against any person.
2. Authors may not submit articles to be published in TRT with the sole purpose of defaming any person.
3. TRT Staff Members that have not yet written two articles should expect to be contacted by a TRT Staff Member ranking “Senior Journalist” or above, or the Editor-in-Chief. This is to provide new authors with a direct link with someone that can help them get started in TRT. The Editor-in-Chief shall be in charge of assigning staff members to aid new authors while taking into consideration the schedules of the staff. Members assigned to such role must fulfill it to the best of their ability.
4. TRT Staff Members are encouraged to give feedback on articles posted in the drafting thread when participating in the creation of an issue. This feedback should be given before the submission deadline to allow the author to make any changes they may deem necessary upon reading said feedback. Articles posted past the submission deadline may not receive feedback simply due to time, however, staff members are still encouraged to submit feedback provided that the publication date has not yet passed.
5. All TRT Staff Members are expected to remain active within TRT upon their application being accepted. TRT Staff Members are expected to contribute, at a minimum, every third publication (this can be either an Issue Release or a Radio Release). Contribution to every publication would be ideal. Activity is defined as writing articles, creating memes/comics/art/other visual content, providing fellow staff with story tips, aiding in the editing process, providing meaningful feedback (defined in policy #4) to authors about their article ideas or final drafts, hosting Rejected Radio episodes, and writing scripts/questions for Rejected Radio.
6. All authors must submit articles that they have stated they will write by the submission deadline unless circumstances arise that may make that infeasible. The submission deadline shall be set a week prior to publication.
7. An issue of TRT should be released at least once every month unless a problem arises that makes that infeasible.
8. All TRT authors are expected to respond to any communication directed towards them from another staff member regarding official TRT projects and activities.
Any comments or questions regarding this should be directed to the "Ask TRT Staff" forum found here.
