The WA Voting Awards
The regional WA Voting Awards are for us to recognise people who are contributing to upholding the fabric of democracy by voting on World Assembly proposals. They are awarded within the first week of every month for the past month, and contain three categories. The Debater Award
The main prize - the debater award recognises people for their contributions to discussion. It awards the people who argue their point in the voting threads eloquently and sufficiently. This award is decided on by the public, after a monthly poll asking citizens to nominate and then vote on the individual who they think should win the Debater Award.
The Outstanding Voter Award
The Outstanding Voter Award recognises the people who exercise their democratic rights most often - it is awarded to the person who has voted the largest number of times throughout the past month.
The Timely Award
The Timely Award is given to the person who votes most frequently within the first 24 hours of a vote being put up.
