Amending 7F of the constitution?

Article 7F:

F: In the case there is more than one Officer position vacant, and at the end of the challenge period for any vacancy the number of candidates for all vacant positions exceeds the number of vacancies, one election shall be held for all vacant positions. As many candidates shall be elected as there are vacancies. Each citizen shall be eligible to cast as many votes as there are vacancies.

The last sentence doesn't fit our intended voting system and might have to be removed.
The officer positions will all be vacated on the 1st of December.
We'll get a problem if there are more candidates than needed then

Look- that is the problematic sentence.
I see two possible interpretations:
1. Ranking all candidates is seen as one vote(not my interpretation):
Clearly not fitting into the new voting system.
2.Every candidate ranked is seen as one vote:
Neither fitting into the new voting system, in the new voting system, you have as many votes as there are candidates, not vacancies.

I can see how that sentence looks silly and is a stretch to fit our system.

Would you prefer something like this?

If that was true I could give a candidate multiple preferences (it could be both my first and second favourite), or give my first preference to multiple candidates.

You got a point, however, like I stated earlier, this doesn't solve the problem.
If I see 5 candidates, and 4 vacancies I have to allow you 4 votes. The sentence doesn't fit.
