While I am a relatively new citizen who has yet to hold a position in government, I have decided to run for speaker. I am active in this forum daily, constantly read threads across various forums and especially in the assembly. Threads will be archived in a timely manner, I will be easily reachable, and I will be prompt when it is time for a proposal to be brought to vote.
It will be my intent to be as impartial as possible when I am speaker, and as such, I do not plan on debating matters or voting anything but "abstain" on assembly proposals.

I personally would do it to avoid seeming biased. Not saying a speaker should be mandated by our rules to abstain or anything.
